As I began my journey to heal my hormones and dug into all the additives in our products, I know something had to change. Something that felt quick and easy to switch was my laundry scent booster.
I personally think a lot about smells, how I smell, how a room smells, so forth and so on, because of that I wanted something effective but also clean.
Enter in, my new scent booster! This recipe is not only quick and easy to follow, but also a wonderful gift to friends and family. I personally give this scent booster as a house warming present in a gift bag. With three very simple ingredients you can do the same!
ITEMS NEEDED:
Mixing bowl
2 cup measuring cup
whisk
INGREDIENTS:
Epsom Salt (2 cup)
Baking Soda (1 cup)
Essential Oils (20-30 drops)

Below these instructions will be a few tips and trick!
Add in 1 cup of baking soda into a large bowl
Add in 2 cups of epsom salt into the bowl
Stir until well combined
Add in 20-30 drops of essential oils (I used 15 drops of rosemary and 15 drops of orange to make a clean scent)
Stir together until no clumps are visible. Place in an air tight container!
Place 4 tbsp at the bottom of your washer and wash as regular
Through my test and trails I have found that mixing the ingredients first helps the essential oils not cling to the baking soda. I found that adding the essential oils onto the baking soda made it clump up and more difficult to stir.
Feel free to experiment with essential oil blends, find what scents work best for you!
ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS:
Clean Scent Blend:
15 drops Rosemary + 15 drops Orange
15 drops Peppermint + 15 drops Orange
10 drops Lavender + 10 drops Eucalyptus + 10 drops Lemon
Energizing Scent Blend:
10 drops Lemon + 20 drops Orange
10 drops Lemon + 10 drops Orange + 10 drops Eucalyptus
10 drops Grapefruit + 10 drops Orange + 10 drops Lemon
Calming Scent Blend:
15 drops Lavender + 15 drops Chamomile
15 drops Lavender + 15 drops Bergamot
Odor Eliminating Scent Blend:
10 drops Lemon + 10 drops Rosemary + 10 drops Eucalyptus
15 drops Lavender + 15 drops Bergamot
